Seagal stars as Matt, an ex-cop that revolves too much on drinking and gambling. And to make matters worse, he is divorced and he hardly pays attention to his daughter. After loosing a lot of money on gambling, he is approached by a shady figure known only as Blue, who then takes him to see his boss, known only as The Old Man (played superbly by Lance Henriksen). The Old Man makes Seagal an offer, that basically consists of killing mafioso type characters so that he can win money, and make up for his one million dollar gambling dept that The Old Man payed for him.
